An Open Letter to the Management of the Queen Mary; We adore - TopicsExpress

An Open Letter to the Management of the Queen Mary; We adore the Queen Mary. We have stayed overnight on her. We have given donations to her upkeep. We have taken thousands of photos of her and shared them online. We have told people all across the world how lovely she is, and every time friends visit us from anywhere else, we always take them to meet her. We stop by just to do shopping on board. We stop by just to eat in her restaurants. We have considered getting tattoos of her, and neither of us have ANY tattoos, we love her THAT much. Life has been busy and has taken away a lot of our free time, so we havent visited her in a few years. We had been planning on going to lunch yesterday to enjoy her company and her fantastic restaurants. We almost balked at the 12$ parking until we saw it was only 7$ if you get validated at a restaurant. We think its silly to have to pay you to be able to give you our money, but we were game because we love her so much. Then we get to the entrance and find out we have to buy tickets to board her to be able to go to the restaurants now. We thought to ourselves Wait, we have to pay you to be able to park near her, and then we have to pay to get to the restaurant, so that we can give the restaurant our money? And the idea of having to pay you to be able to pay you to be able to pay you was too much. We will no longer share with our friends the lovely and fun events occurring at your beautiful ship. We will no longer sing the praises to our friends around the world about how grand she is, or bring them to meet her. We will no longer like her and her postings on social media. We will no longer eat in her fine restaurants. We will no longer shop in her beautiful stores. We will no longer donate to her. I have a nearly 100 year old tin toy of her and now I will not think happy thoughts of her when I see it, but be filled with sadness that shes being run so poorly that I cant find it in myself to pony up huge amounts of money to visit her. On our way back to the car yesterday, we thought to ourselves that the management was being so harmful to her that it was almost like Disney was in charge again. Please tell her we loved her. M. Crowe and M. Tays.
