An activist share her lessons from occupying Queens Pier and other community projects. She shared a very important point, back in the 60s, working class protesters slept in front of Edinburgh Square, much like what we are doing now, and successfully fought for labor rights, labor holidays, paid maternal leave, and many other labor laws that exist today. Many good laws on the books came from the people coming out fighting for themselves. They werent handed down to us, we stood up and took to the streets to fight for them since the dawn of Hong Kong, and often slept on the streets just like we are now. This is, in fact, our tradition. She spoke at length, of what is essentially the peoples history of Hong Kong.
