An advocacy piece that you may wish to consider sharing if you have Non- Vegan friends who could use a WakeUp call FREEDOMS JUST ANOTHER WORD...: In the Current State of the World, Freedom is relatively non-existent. Oh we give it great lip service, and tout all the personal choice we have...but humans are so susceptible to programming and suggestion that our personal choices are in fact those we have been programmed to desire. This is nowhere more evident than in our dietary and clothing choices. Humans as a group are empathetic creatures. As an innate natural ability, We easily see ourselves in others, and thus abhor violence...because our powerful imagination can relate to not wanting to similarly be a victim of it. So it is a marvel of modern psychological manipulation that our governments and the corporate food industries they support have been able to drive a wedge between your Conscience, and your conscious awareness of where meat and dairy come from ...the torture and murder of Animals (who as a group we claim to love). Somehow your innate deeply empathetic human powers are rendered inert by the sight or discussion of Meat, Cheese, Butter, Ice Cream, leather or fur....like Kryptonite to Superman. Like a curtain falls over your Conscience and says, quite automatically and unconsciously, THIS FOOD is the Great Exception...and we shall block from our minds and take no account of the violence and murder we know went into procuring it for our plates...or of the rights of those fellow beings whose lives were involuntarily cut short for our palette pleasure. This is the greatest recurring incidence of mass hypnosis in the history of humankind. Repeatedly Converting, in our minds, what we know to be sentient living beings entitled to honor, respect and at a minimum non-harm...into inanimate unliving insignificant objectified commodities....chunks of food that our consumer demand for and consumption of are the twin engines of the Animal Holocaust. In sum, we are brainwashed for the profit motives of the Animal Agriculture industry, to abandon our natural compassion and empathy for Animal Life in very subtle ways...telling us from an early age in schools, government propaganda and religious materials that we are in every way superior to the animals, have God Given dominion over them, and that our consumption of them is essential to our health. Such that we are therefore entitled to imprison, exploit, torture, murder and eat them. And then further psychologically reinforced to support this lie as we get older with more sophisticated programming...cooking and food messages and television ads (they even shamelessly call it programming) and other media ads and messages, develop other false justifications like top of the food chain, Apex Hunter, Protein and B12 deficiency myths, its a key part of our economy, the animals would run wild if we didnt manage them so..... We are so gullible..so easily lied to and manipulated... So lazy and unwilling to do our own research and critically and skeptically examine the true facts....for if we did even a cursory examination of these lies...about Happy Cow, Humanely Raised, Cage Free, Free Range, Milk does a body good... All these slogans of propaganda and manipulation straight out of Orwells 1984, we would realize they sedated and abducted our moral values, that the Animal Holocaust we have been hoodwinked into supporting...into making it a thriving murderous industry.. Is UNJUST...and that our unconscious support of it is destroying our health, our fellow Earthlings....and our planet. Our automaton like existence responding only to societal programming and brainwashing instead of using our critical independent reasoning faculties have put us on a collision course with the Sixth Mass Extinction event in Planet Earths history. And doomed our wretched collective human soul, bereft of any character or integrity, for the Unjust participation in the Mass Slaughter of our Animal Brothers and Sisters. So FREEDOM in our world is another word...for delusion. VEGAN is the first step, the first true indication, that you have hacked the system and disabled the False Superiority programming that makes you no more than corporate societys dupe and pawn. And your next mission..is then to help other human automatons free themselves from this hideous and insidious programming... While they ironically protest...that your efforts are interfering...with their Freedom of Personal Choice....
