An al Jazeera journalist who was convicted in her absence of spreading false news said Mondays verdicts on three colleagues was not doing Egypt any service. Sue Turton, one of nine journalists charged in absentia and sentenced to 10 years, spoke of efforts to get the verdicts overturned with pressure on the Egyptian government. She told Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics that colleagues and world leaders had to keep up the pressure, and how the TV station was caught in the middle of the tensions between the governments of Egypt and Qatar.
