An amazing weekend - too many awesome things to put into one status, but here goes nothing: Awesome Thing Number One: The Simpletones coached by 3 amazing people on Saturday - Andy Allen, our regular coach, friend and chorus leader. Tim Briggs, our master of choreo and great friend also, who really gave us food for thought and places to go with our convention package, and our new friend and inspirational coach Jordon Travis, who held us to the highest standards and managed to get us to sing at a level we didnt think wed get to - thanks guys, you were amazing! Awesome Thing Number Two: I got drunk, really, really drunk... and it was great (for me). I ate curry and threw bots of tin foil at Jordon Travis, demanded Duncan Blackeby go on the Hallmark of Harmony front row, and spent my evening with some of the nicest people I have ever known. Then got to sleep at the house of Jonathan Beard, who as ever, made us feel like part of the family and looked after us with his lovely wife Clare - even with my hangover! Stunning... just stunning :-) Awesome Thing Number Three: Hallmark of Harmony singing at a level that is beyond words - I choked on more than one occasion today with the emotion of our Ballad, and just felt a euphoria when things went where they should. Amazing work again from Jordon, Andy and Tim, who show that this extended musical family is in this for all the right reasons - brotherhood and a love of singing in the Barbershop style. BABS will be given one hell of a gift at convention, as we bear our souls to convey the message of our set, and show the world that Barbershop is very much alive in Sheffield, and is in very, very good hands... Awesome Thing Number Four: Although I missed it, my little boys birthday party was a huge success! Sam is a lovely little man, who is loved and cared for by so many, and it was great that he could enjoy himself as he grows up into an amazing person, full of life, and love, and light... Thanks to my amazing wife Kathryn Lubkowski for sorting everything out - she really is the glue that sticks our family together, and we all love her very, very much So, thats all for now - great weekend, and more great weekends to come over the next few months... I have to say that at this moment I am a VERY happy man! Thanks to everyone who made that happen Simon :-)
