The Blythe family was nominated by some dear people Laurie Forbes Sawyer and Doug (the man who poured the water on his lovely wife, Laurie) to do the #IceBucketChallenge to #StrikeOutALS. They also honored our son Tyler by encouraging everyone to become an organ donor. Thank you, our friends, for thinking of us. We tried to get the energy to do the challenge today, but just cant get it accomplished. I have been to ALSA.org to donate and because of the large number of donations, the site keeps crashing!!! (it says they have received more than $70 Million! AWESOME!!!!! ) I will check it late tonight and make our donation to raise awareness of a horrendous disease and to help fund research. So, even though we didnt dump water, we now charge Barb Downey and Joe Carpenter and their daughters Anna Carpenter and Laura Carpenter for the Challenge! And Laurie, Bless your beautiful heart!! And I mean that from the bottom of my heart! Your family are very special people who we are lucky to have in our lives! To think it all started by Doug helping me and the kids change a tire on our trailer!!
