Once of old God’s angel came down. He spoke with apostle world - TopicsExpress

Once of old God’s angel came down. He spoke with apostle world renown. The apostle on his knees did bend. The angel did his hand extend. "Do not bend down to me so low I am a servant, don’t you know?" Worship God." There was a man, of race, gentile. Needing truth he called an apostle. Arriving soon the apostle he met And upon his knees himself did set. Arise from posture low and prostate. The apostle was also God’s servant. Hearing the gospel plain and true. He then understood what he must do. Worship God. But some do worship ignorantly Putting before them idolatry. Not knowing that houses, cars, and lands. They substitute for the One so Grand. Man’s creation they put ahead. And relegate Him to lesser stead. And while they worship loud in vain They do hypocritically proclaim. Worship God. Yet others prate around in style. Showing true concern sincere. Loving those who are in need. Yet serving not obediently. Their objective is to worship self. Complete obedience is shelved. Teaching their own devised doctrine These do haughtily rise up Claiming great and glorious works And vainly saying with their words Worship God Each day our self we must inspect To ensure ultimate respect Not worshipping God’s servants’ form Nor idol made with all its charms. Not putting self ahead, in front. Nor writing laws that God has shunned. Not thinking of our worship place As one big social clubbing space But bowing head with thought sincere And practicing each and every year The one true heart, which God accepts The heart broken, sincere, contrite, Obedient in all God’s ways Searching scripture every day And assembling to the proper place In timely manner filled with grace To worship as the Word dictates Speaking words we, humbled, say, Worship God.
