An approved process is now in place to allow Transpacific Cleanaway collection vehicles to return to service. Cleanaway has advised that Mandurah services should begin operating at around lunchtime, starting with bins that were due to be collected yesterday. Drivers will work all day and possibly up to 8pm tonight collecting bins, and will continue to work extended hours over the coming days to clear the backlog. Residents are asked to continue to place their bins out as per the normal schedule and leave them on the verge until collected. All Transpacific Cleanaway vehicles are being subject to a thorough and rigorous inspection process to ensure they can operate safely in the community. The inspections are being undertaken independently by a third party.
