An attempt to live their dreams Hundred inquisitive and enthusiastic children dressed up in red and yellow t-shirt painted their dreams on a piece of canvas. Srotoshwini Trust,Vadodara along with Women Planet had organised an event on the eve of Childrens Day at the Kamatibaug Amphitheatre. Kids from Pathshala, Pathbhavan and Jetalpur Slum were part of it. By acquiring the blessings from god and after an unexpected downpour, the event kick started later in the evening. Swati Sutaria, the founding Editor of Women Planet painted the first stroke on the canvas which fulfilled the dreams of many children followed by the lady on mission, Juin Duttas convicted strokes. Guided by the volunteers, children successfully painted their windows of hope, rivers which depicted their unstoppable flow ahead in life and that they never want to see back. Their piece of art gave a very peaceful and environmental message in a hidden way. A picture of their dream house with lots of flora and fauna around depicted that. The event was backed by a few band performances on some of the very inspiring Bollywood tracks like Aashaayein and Baadal pe pau hai. We know the work of Pathshala is commendable, but the video of their work and the songs describing their organisation were touching. Few of them were played here. The best part of this event was that, there were hundreds of visitors, each one coming from different field on one platform united for their countrys children. This shows how unity makes a huge difference. The only appeal- Lets join our hands to make an effort towards attaining their dream. Bind yourselves. Come forward to more of such events and inspire the ones who need it, who deserve it.
