An early morning fire swept through an unoccupied house on Sycamore Ave. At approximately 1:25am Otter Creek Fire was dispatched to this location for a structure fire. Upon arrival command found heavy smoke and flames coming out the back of he house and eaves and requested a second alarm. OCFD got assistance from Terre Haute Fire Dept. Engine 7 and Support 5. Also requested tanker assistance from Nevins Fire dept, Sugar Creek Fire Department, Seelyville Fire Department, and New Goshen Fire & Rescue. Otter Creek and other departments were on scene for nearly 3 1/2 hours battling the blaze. No injuries were reported to command. Huge thanks to all departments assisting us last night.
