Been working all evening on drawing up the plans & designing our basement room into a studio bedroom with en suite bathroom & kitchenette, live in studio space. Weve been looking at lots of contemporary high design small studio apartments & have kind of made up our minds what were doing with the decor. Were going for an industrial / rustic hybrid. Measured everything up, planned closet & kitchenette sizes etc. Room for an extended Queen bed, small round table & 40 floating TV etc. Downstairs is going to look so wicked & have totally independent access from the main house. This will be an amazing place for someone to live. Were going to build a stairway down the side of the house for access, which also means moving the bins from the side of the house to a newly built bin section in front of the house. We start construction next week, so were going from a 3 bed, 3 bath house to a 4 bed, 4 bath house. Hopefully itll be completely finished & ready for someone to move in by July 1st. Got to love home improvements. This will add some serious value to our already beautiful home. :)
