An excellent article of a peer reviewed study in a veterinary publication: MOVING BEYOND “LEADER OF THE PACK” Changing Dog Behavior Using Science Instead of Myth Despite ongoing research that shows this Pack-leader and alpha-dog theory is *fundamentally flawed* people, including dog-trainers, still hold on and promote it. And, unfortunately, based on that believe aversive training methods, which can be physically and mentally harmful to the dog, are applied. Fortunately wold-wide, including in Thailand, there is slow and steady trend toward more force- and fear-free training methods.
