As a patriot, hero, revered, and leader not only for the Mong people but also among other Southeast Asians ever since the Vietnam War, on January 26, a very special day for me and for my daughter, which is the day of my first daughter’s birthday, I forwarded a condolence letter to the General’s family as follow: To the Family of Phagnya Norapamok former Royal Lao Army General Vang Pao Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thoughts of ours. Seven words that ultimately describes General Vang Pao’s legacy is by far the Chinese’s Proverb that states: One picture is worth ten thousand words. May the Dreams of Peace, Freedom, Democracy, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness that our beloved General tirelessly had echoed in the past thirty years as we exiled/resettled in the United States of America for the country of Laos bring Harmony, Peace, and Unity as we reflect on the memories of the General in the years to come. Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss, our loss. Our thoughts are with the General’s family during this difficult time. And through all we share your grief and sorrow.
