An excerpt from the fabulous NoMeansNo on their recent show here "I never saw the opening band. I mean, I never caught sight of them, anywhere, at any point, during the course of the evening. They were called Fat Goth, had some things for sale at the merch stall but I never actually saw them. No evidence of them in the dressing room or on the stage except the stage was sticky on my side. Perhaps a member of Fat Goth, stationed there, spilled a beer or a soft drink? Will told me they were very shy and big fans. My side of the stage was pretty airless and thick with non air. Hard to breathe: at one point I staggered and felt faint. But I recovered quickly and kept rocking. No one noticed so I had to point it out after the show in order to harness some modicum of attention. The backstage was about 200 metres from the venue. Through the red door and up the stairs. There was a shower. Many plastic bottles of cleaning supplies were in that room. What had happened there? I liked the venue and the back stage. So did John Wright. So much so he showered and was beaming after this shower."
