An excerpt from the post which i just read; Do we need to judge and correct others?or just watch them perish without saying something or doing anything? This is a very hard question as we christians are taught not to judged so we wont be judge! but what does the bible say? In fact, it is a person that TRULY CARES & LOVES that will judge so that the person being corrected is saved or has a better life. Judging is harder to do compared to not doing anything or saying anything. Judging is likely to make one very unpopular…..most parents and teachers should be able to understand this. It is for this very reason the Chief Priest and Pharisees wanted and purposed to kill Jesus - Jesus was constantly judging and correcting them in regards to their interpretation of the laws and their traditions. 3. Did Jesus Christ of Nazareth Judge people whilst on earth? Lets have a look.... a. Matthew 11:21 & Luke 10:13 Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. b. Matthew 16:23 But He (Jesus Christ) turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men. c. In Matthew 23, Jesus calls the religious priests by the following names: Hypocrites, blind guides, fools and blind, serpents, brood of vipers, etc, etc, etc. The TRUTH IS - Jesus Christ did judge many times so as to lead sinners to repentance ie. turn away from a life of sin to holiness. The above Scriptures are only a small extract from the New Testament. Read Revelation 2 – 3 to have a better understanding of Jesus Judgments on the 7 Churches for refusing to obey in absolute perfection. It is shocking!!! NOTE: Whilst Judging is a necessary aspect of truly loving others but most times we must be living the perfect love in Christ Jesus as described in 1 John 5 - For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments & 1 Corinthians 13 - Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes in the best in all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails! God is LOVE. May The Almighty God bless you with all godly love, peace, joy, wisdom and understanding…..He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
