An important message from Sue: In less than two weeks, you will be sending your Blue Stars member to Forest City, Iowa to begin their great adventure in this 50th Anniversary season. Throughout the 80+ days we are on tour, we will serve the corps roughly 64,000 meals. While Carlton and I are on tour for the summer, the work of feeding this hungry crowd would never happen without the help of you, the parents and our volunteers. Please consider volunteering a day, a week, or whatever you can spare. There is much more than cooking that takes place in the course of a day. There are groceries to be bought, food to be prepped, salads to be made, dishes to be washed and meals to be served. You will also get the chance to watch your child in their element and meet some of their friends that you hear about throughout the summer. We would love to have you as a part of our hard-working team, supporting your kids and the staff as they work to bring “Where the Heart Is” to life!
