An important study to consider while the Federal government hands out millions of taxpayers dollars to establish this dirty energy industry in Australia! But where is the opposition? Alliance for a Clean Environment and the National Toxics Network are working hard to stop the march of incinerators into Australia, standing strong with the host communities who will carry the greatest of health burdens. Our results support the hypothesis of a statistically significant increase in the risk of dying from cancer in towns near incinerators and installations for the recovery or disposal of hazardous waste.
