An industrial court has given a Non Governmental Organization leave to file a petition to stop the ongoing police vetting. The Kenya Council Of Employment Migration Agency has established a case that raises issues of Public importance. The Agency, in its petition to the court, indicated members of the panel ought to have been vetted before the process began. The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission had raised questions against the Boards Chairman, Johnstone Kavuludi, in a letter in July last year over financial impropriety. The NGO, through its chairman told the court, the panel was not properly constituted to handle the vetting process. The Court has directed the application be served to the chairman of the National Police Service commission, members of the vetting panel, the Director of Public Prosecution and the Attorney General. They are all expected to file their responses within a period of seven days, and all parties will hear the case on 4TH February.
