An odd beginning to a holiday week. How can a farmer be productive when father winter is breathing down your neck (your work is covered for a week!) and your relatives and friends are having a funky somewhat on, somewhat off week as well? So much for productivity! We are all plugged into each other, feeling each others vibes, and the vibe this week is just plain funkyfestivenonproductive as hell, but mostly its rightfully festive, and, um, amen! I will show for work tomorrow, do the last bit of tunnel sealing, make sure the covers are tight, plant a few seeds, monitor the progress of other workers, then wonder what the hell Im still hanging around (while the veggies are resting) and not with loved ones. Holiday spirit and the Puritan work ethic, what a strange mix it is.
