An official result is in...Nevaeh has croup. This is what we assumed due to Ella having croup last week. Since this is a virus we are doing all we can by keeping her hydrated. They have stopped IV fluids and started her back on her home regimen of juice, coconut water, and blended whole food diet. So far she has handled the juice and coconut water. This evening we will start her blended food. She remains very uncomfortable. Overnight both IVs blew so we had to place a new IV around 4a. It took 4 attempts over an hour time period due her passing out constantly. She did get a little rest overnight. Today has been hectic with constant pass out spells. These spells are her way of expressing shes in pain. Both Ella and I experienced pain in our throats and achy all over so Im sure that may also be part of her pain. Her bowels havent moved much as well so that is an added pain for her. She is resting now with her afternoon dose of Clonidine. We are staying another night to make sure she can handle her feeds and keep hydrated before we go home. Thank you always for your prayers for her. We are very grateful for each of you!!
