An old blog post, but still relevant. Exactly how I feel. except that I know that the Catholic Church has historically been against individual liberty and democracy. To this day there are conservative, Traditionalist Catholics that attack any fellow Catholics that dares question the Pope on any subject, and who even look forward to a Great Catholic Monarch ruling the Earth near the end of time as prophesied by some Catholic saints and sages. No Libertarian I know would ever accept the absolute rule of one man or even of one group of men, despite their religious affiliation and saintly character.
