An old colleague of mine (many years ago as a factory worker) saw my recent postings in Facebook. It’s about me teaching corporate employees on how to become an Entrepreneur. He’s tired of his job and thinking to start his own business and be free. We chat a bit on Facebook. In the end he ended up saying “Ferdz,I love too but I have two kids. And I don’t have the time.” I said, “Well, if you think that’s really the case, I can only wish you well.” Then we said goodbye. Here’s the funny part. Few days after, I received a request from him on Facebook Do you know what it is? “Candy Crush Saga Invites.” Ayayay! In case you’re not aware what is Candy Crush, it’s a popular game in Facebook. Some people told me it’s addictive. So, this colleague of mine thinks…THINKS…he doesn’t have enough time. Pero may oras sya para maglaro ng candy crush? He’s lying to himself and all those stories in his mind will keep him from achieving a life free from alarm clock, limited vacations, and corporate politics. Ang totoo nyan, we’re all good at lying to ourselves. We make up stories in our mind to justify our actions. I call it “E kasi” syndrome. “E kasi busy ako sa mga bata e.” E kasi wala akong time e. “E kasi wala akong capital pag simula e.” “E kasi di ko alam kung maganda ba yung idea ko e.” “E kasi wala akong connection kay Napoles e.” PAKIUSAP. Itigil na ang kasinunganlingan. Every Entrepreneur had an “E kasi” syndrome too. But they cure themselves. Do you know how? They just keep taking action. Even if they fail or possibly humiliated by their actions, they’ll do it anyways. “Just Do It!” Sabi nga ng Nike. Let that be your mantra for today. To your freedom
