An old friend stopped by today, perhaps lured in my the Raven being parked our front? He used to live across the alley from us back in the 60/70s. He was inspired to become a pilot because my father gave him a plane ride at the age of 7. He went to flight instruct, then a career with the airlines, even managed to fly Pope John around the US and Europe. We talked about the old days, and what a character my father was. I marveled at the seeds my father planted, because he was just one of many that found aviation their niche. It all wraps up in the simple adage...you never know your impact on anothers life, but when you do something you love, no doubt the impact is strong and lasting...it sure has worked for me, thanks Dad.
