I have been trying to point this out to people sine the 5-eye story broke, because I felt it was one of the most significant aspects of the leak. The 5-Eye program demonstrates that globalization is just a new language for marketing the same White supremacy that lead to global colonialism and genocide. It demonstrates that the West still views itself as inherently white, inherently superior, and inherently deserving to rule over the rest of the worlds populations. As a minority in the U.S. this has always been evident, but this leak makes it clearer. The West actively works to keep countries of color from industrializing. Our wars have often been simply to reverse economic/industrial gains in other countries. Only brown/black countries may be hostile, and their hostility is the ownership of their own resources and audacity to self-determination.
