I just wrote this tonight as I was preparing for a preach. I believe it will encourage you. ACHIEVE YOUR DESTINY. Muhamad Ali said, “I’m going to show you how great I am” He was focused, fighting fit, believed in himself and wasn’t afraid to declare it, he declared his intention, focused his strength, intellect, talents and relationships and he became the greatest boxer in living memory, Now how much more can we in humility say we can only do all things through Christ who gives us strength. We may be or have been downtrodden , abused, been addicted, have lost out in life, work and relationships, love and marriage, we may have had darkness, depression and hardship follow us round like demons determined to defeat us, we may for a season have been beaten in every way by a life that seems to have worked relentlessly against us. Because of this folk may say, “you will never amount to anything, You dont have what it takes, or you cannot do this thing you are attempting.” But secretly, in our private lives we have learned our limitations but overcome them with Christ we can boldly declare “we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength” We may have been or still may be surrounded by people who shout and sneer at us, trying to tell us that we can never amount to anything, that our destiny is small or meaningless, they may say we are a square peg in a round hole or visa versa, but life has thought us that Christ is our vindicator and our empowerer, we have learned to live for His praise alone, we have learned to listen for His voice cheering us on, indeed we have learned that our enemies and critics are they who have never spilled blood on the fields of adversity, they have never sweated the sweat of hard labour in the gutters of life, To these critics we say, you are welcome in our audience, you can have your seat and you can have your opinion but we have learned that your opinion does not matter a jot to us, your words carry no weight whatsoever because we have also learned to overcome you and your kind.” Ha my friends, this is the trysting ground where warriors learn how to walk in true integrity of destiny. If we are singularly focused we can overcome anything, any adversity, any opinion of folk who may be against us for whatever reason, we can overcome lack of education, lack of creativity, lack of strength, lack of connections, lack of opportunity, lack of finance to do a job, lack of connectedness to get to the right people. We can operate with strength even when we are weak, because in our weakness His strength is shown and made evident and perfect in us. Here superhum, even Godly perspective comes into play and we realize that God has indeed given us the Power to be children of God. Let me ask you a question, How do we know when we are on the right path in life? Answer, you don’t put yourself in the position where you betray yourself anymore. You are faithful to who you are, faithful to your purpose, your priorities, faithful to what you decide to do with life with. You will have passed over from compromising yourself, you will have stopped doing things to keep others happy and you will cross that line to be faithful without reserve to who you are. Then and only then can the fulness of your destiny come to pass. God bless you all.
