An open letter to Mr. Bird, Remember how in The Muppet Movie, you were heading to New York to make it big in Public Television? What happened? Has Childrens Television Workshop money made you soft? Have you resigned yourself to a futile future populated only with Elmos and Abby Caddabys? One day youre showing moxie and saving Sesame Street in Follow That Bird, and now youre just, well...auto-tuned in the background of an Elmo video about unhatched birds moving their bodies. It pains me to say it, but youve become the Jefferson Starship of muppets, and youre building this city on disappointments and tarnished memories.
