An open letter to all who read my recent opinion column entitled - TopicsExpress

An open letter to all who read my recent opinion column entitled Breakfast versus Playground that was published in last Wednesdays edition of the St. Albert Gazette. Thank you all for your comments and many letters of support. My intention was not to disparage the fine upstanding people behind Halles Playground or the Save Our Space Camp projects. I had hoped that it would be very clear that I was inspired and impressed by how such good things happened in St. Albert under their watch. My kudos to them all. The opinion piece was meant to draw a comparison by how those two things moved along so quickly because of public sympathy, while the food bank and SAIF stagger forever along the fundraising trail. I know that St. Albert is a caring community, the best place to live in Canada they say. I know that there is nothing that can stop a group of people who put their hands together. I say its true. Please listen to CBC Radio 740 AM (93.9 FM) during Radioactive with Portia Clark. Ill be on after the 4:30 p.m. news break to talk more about empathy and community activism.
