An unexpected call late this morn from Sam resulted in my spending several hours at his familys farm. A grand time visiting with grandson Brice who sat on my knee while I read to him. Or he to me. Also a chance to see Alice, David, and Jim. All the Huenefeldt men harvested their deer this season. Fine hunters and keen marksmen. Enjoyed a repast of Alices wonderful cooking and got to see Jim and a group of area friends fix a truck. Some of their labor required an acetelene torch to make the repairs. Such a versitile and talanted family who have farmed their land well over a century. The weather was crisp but not bad. Sam and Brice departed after a weeks visit. Am sure it will be quite a reunion with Elizabeth Ann, Miles, and Grandma Dana....So very blessed.
