An update on the cake front: my favorite cake vendor, Sweet Kakes & Co., is out of business (they are refunding my client her money and have been very apologetic). If anyone knows of someone in the Richmond area who can make outstanding custom cake smash cakes for a reasonable price please have them get in touch with me.
