An update regarding the Medical Waste Facility to be located in Mansfield. The City has been informed by its State Government Liaison that Director Richard Hyde of the TCEQ will approve Redaways (medical waste facility) permit to open a medical waste facility in Mansfield on Monday. It has been said that he will only consider feedback from state elected officials such as legislators and senators. Please contact these folks! Our City leadership, City Council, Mayor, City Manager, School Board and community as well overwhelmingly opposed the granting of a permit to Redaway. Both the City Council and School Board approved resolutions opposing the permit and facility. Please contact each of the elected officials listed by direct call, text, and or email expressing our concern and opposition to a permit and Medical Waste facility.
