This position will oversee the centralized support for IT applications and systems to ensure timely reliable cost effective service to employees and customers. Assists in daily activities relating to Data Networks – especially LAN PCs Servers Telephony and related systems. Possesses a detailed technical understanding of existing systems. Performs testing and evaluation of systems as part of a team. Assists with analysis of system related issues. Creates system documentation and best practices in concert with other team members. This position may travel to other sites for absence coverage project assistance and to perform site audits as a member of EMEA SIS site Infrastructure Support organization. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working collaboratively with the Development Groups and PMO to work on initiatives that are part of are part of Eaton Business System processes which raise the quality of support provided across the entire organization. A. Provides 1st andor 2nd level PC support for multiple locations as applicable for infrastructure hardware and software in order to provide the customer with a workaround or a fix. B. Participates on projects and leads initiatives as directed by SIS Site Infrastructure Support organization. C. Acts as the main point of contact for deskside support at multiple sites. D. Coordinates schedules tests implements and documents application upgrades or patches in order to remain on current levels of software utilized in the supported sites. E. Gathers information needed to support IT business metrics. F. Maintains control of WindowsIntel software and hardware in order to ensure license compliancy and asset management. G. Implement software and hardware upgrades to support IT initiatives and comply with established standards. H. Seek out opportunities to increase enduser operational efficiency. I. Maintain infrastructure in order to decrease downtime and maintain quality. J. Provides 1st level server support for site servers to help ensure a robust server environment. K. Stay current with industry trends in Information Technology advancements L. Performs periodic site audits at various locations to assess standards compliance M. Provide support coverage to other sites due to extended absences andor vacations as a part of the SIS Site Infrastructure Support team.Basic Qualifications Including Educational Requirements • English language desired B2 level • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science with one to three years experience or Associate degree with one to three years experience in ITIL MCSA or comparable certification. • Knowledge in ERP area is a strong asset. • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Operating Systems • Familiarity with manufacturing applications where applicable • Experience in PC hardwaresoftware diagnose and repair printer installation and maintenance. • Experience in data network hardware small and medium size configuration of data network topology • Experience in basic telephony systems small and medium size PBX VoIP installing PBX users more...
