Ananda College Quiz Club once again made Mother Ananda Proud!! Achievements by the Senior Quiz Team of Ananda College 1. Champions at the Annual Quiz Day of Visakha Vidyalaya, “Q & A EXTRAVAGANZA” the inter-school quiz competition for the 1st time to gain the “Bernice Banning Memorial Challenge Shield” by outwitting Royal College Colombo in the finals of the competition which concluded on the 24th of February 2014. 2. Champions of the Musaeus College Quiz Competition “Powerplay’14” to gain the “Dr.Neville Kanakaratne Memorial Challenge shield” by overwhelming the Richmond College Quiz Team in the finals which concluded on the 20th of October 2014. 3. Champions of the Dharmaraja College Quiz Competition “RQ’14” to emerge victorious by achieving the “Somapala Ratnaweera Memorial Trophy” which concluded on the 24th of October 2014. 4. Champions of the inaugural Olcott Schools Quiz Competition 2014 organized by the Col.Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports Foundation which was held on the 12th of July 2014, to emerge as the best Buddhist school in the quizzing arena of Sri Lanka. 5. Champions of the All Island Inter-School Quiz Competition conducted in collaboration with the World Mental Health Day, by the National Institute of Mental Health which was held on the 13th of October 2014. 6.Champions of the Blue and Gold All-island interschool Quiz competition conducted for the 24th consecutive time by Royal College Colombo which was held on the 07th of November 2014 7.Champions of the All-island Radio Quiz Competition conducted by the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Ananda College Quiz team has emerged as the best quizzing school in the Srilankan Quizzing Arena by conquering 07 out of 10 major championships in 2014...
