Anantnag, July 13 6 youth drowned in separate incidents acrossthe State A 17 year old youth Showkat Ahmad Bhat sonof Gull Mohammad Bhat R/o Sheikhpora , Uttersoo, Shangus in district Anantnag drowned into a trench of under construction bridge on Nallah Arpath near Uttersoo and the body was fished out by local youths late last evening.. Showkat was a student of class 11th in Higher Secondary School Uttersoo. A local resident Javid Khan told Kashmir Images that It is an act of negligence by the officials of Roads and buildings department and the contractor of the said bridge becausethey dug the trench in the month of May and kept it open which resulted in the death of young boy. In another incident a 15 year old boy Adil Kuchay Son of Mohammad Shafi Kuchay resident of Barsoo, Awantipora drowned in river Jehlum while taking a bath near Barsoo, Awantipora Saturday evening, The search of the body of Adil from Jehlum was on till late evening. . Meanwhile Four boys of Kehribal, Anantnag drowned in Jehlum near Semthan. Bijbehara on Saturday afternoon while taking a bath in the river. Though three of then rescued by thelocal people but One Youth drowned in the river and his body could not be fished out till late Saturday evening.He has been identified as Aaqib Ahmad malik son of Abdul Rehman. Meanwhile in a tragic incident three students of Army public School Udhampur drowned in Nuddan nullah near Bikram Enclave Udhampur while taking a bath in the Nullah. They have been identified as 10 year old AnkitKumar son of Head Constable Dinesh Kumar , 12 year old Anurag Rao son of BPA Rao and Abhyan son of BN Paswan all residents of Udhampur. Their bodies were recovered and handed over to their parents for last rites.
