Ancestry and DNA Funny, how many times have I said what my ancestry was? Just recently I made a claim. Well, my sister did her DNA and got the results back. It turns out Im 50% Irish, 25%Scandinavian, 12% British, and 12% West European. Now we all know Ireland was partly populated by the Scandinavians so its probably more like 3/4 Irish. Ha ha. Well well. Ive heard so many stories and I guess Im guilty of picking the ones I liked the best. But the DNA tells the story. 0% Oriental, 0% Pacific Island, 0% Native American, 0% Black African. How many of you folks have had your DNA done and were surprised by your ancestry? I guess Im gonna have to be careful about telling Irish jokes now. :)
