And Bingo was his name O I have to say there are many times when things fall into place and I love it here. This weekend was one of them. It started with Saturday afternoon lunch and meeting my new pal Bingo, he knew the song and sang it for us, awesome! Youre probably asking how he got his name. In most cases they pick their own western names. My friend Amy met a girl named Rapunzel, theres a girl at my Starbucks named Twinkle and a girl in Marks office named Dreamy, love it! Saturday night took us, 24 in total, to Paulaner Brauhaus to celebrate Oktoberfest. The weather was perfect, the beer cold, festive music by a band from Germany flown in for the occasion, platters of yummy German food and fabulous, fabulous friends all getting together to celebrate Oktoberfest in Shanghai. Although to Marks disappointment he didnt get to polka or do the chicken dance there was some dancing on top of benches - note benches, not tables - when the German band stopped playing and a great Chinese rock band started. Sunday morning being able to watch the Penn State and Alabama games on the tv WITH sound was fantastic!! Followed up by some wicked, awesome (if I do say so myself -kinda hard to mess up) green bean casserole and stewed apples. Mark was stoked that the 83 lb suitcase I brought back contained the onion crunchies! The best part was just being with friends because seriously its making good friends here that make the good times great and not so good times easier. Many, many thanks to Nickie Obenhaus Parker and Shane Parker, Kathryn Sanders, Linda Bailey Hall, Laura Dailey, Cammie Kurowski, Colleen Ladopoulos, JimandJill Geisendorfer, Malathi Ramdas Sridhar, Cindy Dehler yall are great! BINGO!!!!
