Look at the apparent contradiction in Jacobs (Israel), statement. Jacob was torn apart when his children told him Joseph was killed by a lion. (Genesis 37:31-36).Against all odds and the evidence before him, he knew in his spirit that one day, he would see Joseph. He said that God had shown him Josephs offspring. How do this be possible if Joseph was dead. Abraham took Isaac to go and sacrifice to God even though Isaac was his only son and God had told him (Abraham); he would be the father of many nations. A walk with God is a walk of faith, complete trust, commitment and hard work. God, Himself worked. He created the world in 6 days (Genesis 1). As parents and especially as fathers we have responsibilities to our children to know their destiny, change it (possible), and direct their lives spiritually and physically. About 6yrs ago, I went on a personal retreat and on the 3th day of fasting and prayers, God told me to write down the names of my children. I obeyed. And God began to rank them accordingly and tell me things about them. I shared just a little with my wife recently. I have since being watching and prayerfully changing those things in me and then. When in Genesis 49, Jacob called his sons, blessed them and spoke their future to them, it has since remained so. We would notice that Abraham lied, Isaac and Jacob did the same thing. God showed Jacob the future of his children. You and I can also pay the price on our knees and know what holds for our children. And because we are under the Covenant of the blood of Jesus, those bad things in our lives cannot be transmitted to our children. Theirs too, can be changed. When we also look at the lives of great servants of God like T. D. Jakes, John Hagee, Chris Oryekhilome; there is something in their lives that we tend to take for granted. T. D. Jakes mother was a prayer warrior, she prayed weeks non stop. His son in addition to the anointing on his life is building on that foundation. John Hagees father was a Pastor, his son Pastor Matthew is now building on 3 generations of anointing. Chris father was a Pastor, so he too did not have to deal much with ancestral curses etc. Their parents worked with God. Before Jacob blessed his children, he said something very profound, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked. ..(Genesis 48:15).Jacob told God, he had a family history with God. I didnt have any. My father until few years before he died was an idol worshipper. So was his father and grand fathers. Most of the things I suffered was because I had no knowledge of the Truth. My children will never suffer those things because I am paying the price on my knees. I am walking with God. Being a father is more than having children, you have spiritual and physical responsibilities. The spiritual however controls the physical. Jesus has made it easier by paying the price for our sins and breaking that covenant that was against us. If you are a father/mother or a potential parent reading this, please for the love of your children, make Jesus your Lord and Saviour. Begin a new life for yourself and your generations.
