And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.(Genesis 41 vs 41). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. Our Focal Scripture tells the tale of Josephs elevation while he was in Egypt. Joseph was set over the entire kingdom of Egypt. He was raised from the prison and he stepped into undeniable visibility. He had been in a place of confinement and suffering, but in our Focal Scripture, he was transited into a place of wealth and celebration. Genesis 45 vs 7 explains Gods agenda for raising Joseph; it says, And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. There other people in whose interest God gave Joseph the blessing. There were people whom God wanted to preserve, and He raised Joseph as an agent that would preserve them. Josephs blessing came because God wanted to bless others through him. Friend, for every blessing that God gives you, there is a generation He wants to bless and preserve though you. When God raises you, He is simply trying to transform and raise other people through you. Dont forget, as you receive blessings from God, dont forget there are several destinies tied to you. Dont forget there are people whom you need to raise from the dust. When the people(his brothers) Joseph was raised for showed up in Genesis 45, he didnt deny them. They may have worked against him in the past, but when he was raised, it didnt become an avenue for vendetta. Dont use your elevation to get back at those who may have hurt you in the past. You were raised to HELP, not to hate, hound or hurt. Being blessed is exciting, but it is profoundly rewarding when you become a channel for others to be blessed and preserved. Pray with me,Lord, make me a channel though which others will be blessed and preserved. Follow on Twitter @jerrystreams Have a Blessed Sunday!
