I wanted to be sure everyone knows about the benefits of heat lamps for our hairless kitties! We have been using heat lamps at our cattery for many years now and I will never turn back. The lamps have actually improved the health of our cats and kittens by allowing them a place they can go to increase their body temperature reduces the work load and stress on their immune system to over work their metabolism to stay warm. Also they just LOVE to bask in the heat and having a designated place of their own for them to lay saves on dirtying up the furniture! We buy the Fluckers heat lamps from our local pet store in the reptile section and mount it onto their cat climbers. Here are some examples of a few places in our cattery we use them. We also be sure to secure them extra well with giant zip ties to be sure they are very snug because they can be a fire hazard. If anyone has any questions let me know!
