July 29, 2013 A recent report from a leading good government group reveals pro-fracking interests have contributed millions of dollars to state politicians and committees, potentially influencing the controversial and polarizing debate on whether or not to allow hydrofracking in the state. The report is the first in a series of analyses focusing on campaign finance abuses that the watchdog group Common Cause/NY says warrants further investigation by the Moreland Commission — a new 25-member panel Gov. Andrew Cuomo has charged with investigating corruption in state politics. Talk about abuse, Cuomo and the Democrats are confiscating my mineral rights based on unsubstantiated clams of damage to groundwater promoted by George Soros and foreign groups who fund Democrats.
