And Raven Said Not to Explain Away the Magic… Forests aflame - TopicsExpress

And Raven Said Not to Explain Away the Magic… Forests aflame and heart’s afire, Valhalla silhouetted, Contrasted by the golden skies of sunset, Up the lake as twilight sets in, And beyond the ruby range, Watching the light of the near-full moon, Trickling through the trees, As the vehicle bounces around boulders, And potholes more aptly described as pits, Guided by fleeting glimpses of the hare, Down the rabbit hole, Until beneath those cottonwoods, We set our homes away from home. Morning dawns, And I revel in my princess of darkness, She’s bitter at this time of day, Without an ounce of cream, But the maple syrup’s working wonders… She does the trick, Wakes up the limbs, Enough to descend those steep slopes, Covered in oplopanax, Down to the riverside, Amidst a jungle of poison ivy, Beautiful yet mischievous, Till at last we are at that pool, Ceridwen’s sacred cauldron, Where the water bubbles from the rockface, Hot and mineral rich, A delight to the body, Beneath the tree of life and death, The stretching boughs of the yew, And I am here, As if I were Nerites, Basking in the waters of rebirth… A dreamcatcher in the shape of a heart, A river of emerald green, An encounter with William of Normandy, And a story of magical chocolate from Tutankhamen’s tomb…
