And as I thought would be the case this morning....... FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 10 PM TUESDAY FOR WESTERN AND CENTRAL SISKIYOU COUNTY INCLUDING THE MT. SHASTA AND DUNSMUIR AREA OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FOR DRY LIGHTNING ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS. Isolated thunderstorms could develop in the watch area tomorrow afternoon. Storms may be high based with little rainfall with them. Any lightning strikes will have a high potential for igniting fires. Gusty winds with the storms will drive fires at a high rate of spread. This watch is likely to be turned into a Red Flag Warning, where conditions are occurring or will occur, tomorrow morning. This watch message is for advisory purposes to expect conditions that will promote fire starts and spread.
