And as the tears fall, the last 24 hrs slowly sink in, along with all that have meant and will mean .... Last night a night of laughter and sharing with my Bestie, hidden from the view of anyone else for fear of ruining a surprise in the making; this afternoon the surprise revealed in the form of a visit with a dear friend. She is in Palliative Care these days and I was just so very thankful to have had this afternoon with her and tonight .... the opportunity my family has prayed for, for so very long ... a visit with my nephew. He is 42 now. Last time I saw him I was eight and he was an infant. We laughed and we shared and all the while I knew my eldest brother and my Mom were smiling, happy that Anthony ( Tony) is back. Such an amazing day, yet I sit here crying for the Bestie I already miss, for the friend I would rather be out dancing with, and for my Mom and brother who I miss more than anything. I know all is as it should be and I know I am blessed to have had this day but right now ... I am totally okay with knowing I need this cry.
