And now after all that delay, I officially bring you the Official Mechanics for AniZones Activity for this month till May, AZs Summer FunFic Creative Crossover Story Contest. Mechanics are as follows: 1. This is an anime crossover fiction contest. (Think Fairy Tail X Rave types of story) Since its summer, the theme of the contest will be summer activities. 2. This contest aims to enhance the creativity of the participants to a whole new level as they will be using multiple skills and expertise in terms of Arts and Design. 3. Elaborated, what this means is that contestants would write a crossover story of two anime series involved in an episode involving summer adventures. It could be hiking, summer festival, or a trip to the beach. There has to be a starting point, build-up, and climax, kinda like an actual episode. 4. No OCs, only existing anime characters. While you may have as many characters as you want, take note that its easier to run a coherent story with fewer characters. The magic number, is around 4-5, with 2 or 3 for each of the two series. If you can afford to go more than that, why not? As long as your story can flow well. 5. Now heres the tricky part. The characters have to more or less be like their actual counterparts in personality and abilities. Of course, that means no wacky comedian Mikasa. That also means no Kamehameha-shooting Matoi Ryuko. How the author could make the characters successfully crossover with each other is part of the challenge. 6. Youre free to go with any genre you want, but please keep the stories PG-13. Also, if youre going for a romance, maybe have some shipping here and there, but keep them clean. Story length is around at least 4.5k words to around 7.5k words. 7. When all is said and done, time to get art skills ready. Provide an Episode poster that will give the audience a feel of what can happen on your episode. Minimum Poster size is 1080px by 1920px. Cant draw? Collab with someone! Please note that you can only collab with one person in the contest. 8. Winners will be done based on judging, giving emphasis on legitimacy. That is, how accurate the story is in portraying the selected characters, how coherent the storys flow is, and how well it would actually work as a summertime episode in an anime. 9. To join, simply email your story in .DOC or .PDF Format and your Episode Poster in .JPG or .PNG Format to anizonefb@yahoo with the subject of AZSFF. 10. Submission Period will be from April 8, 2014 to May 17, 2014 11. Entries shall be posted on the AniZone Fanpage on May 19, 2014 and the Campaign period shall also begin on that day and shall run until May 31, 2014. 12. Winning Entries shall be announced on June 2, 2014 at the AniZone Group page and Fanpage. 13. Criteria for Judging will be as follows: Story: - character portrayal 15% - story flow 15% - grammar 15% - story chemistry 15% Episode Poster: - Creativity 15% - Composition and Layout 10% Overall Visual Impact 10% Facebook likes 5% 14. Opinion from the competition judges count for 95% of your score, 5% of your score comes from on-line voting, to be fair to all the participants. Have fun minna!~XD -kaicho!
