We learned Friday that our dear friend from college, Tom Zalan, passed after fighting Leukemia and Mucormycosis for nearly a year. His great soul and kind heart will be missed. Our comfort is that we know that heaven could not wait for him. And yet, in the endless circle of life, we have been privileged and deeply honored to participate in the wedding of the oldest son of college friends, Dan and Soo Sullivan. The wedding yesterday was lusciously beautiful, as you can see from the pictures below, and so uplifting. This weekend has given me new cause for reflection, to share amazing moments in life with old friends and experience joy and sadness walking hand in hand.
