They invent their own designated angels, create saints, determine their own intermediaries, legislate their own modes of salvation, stand in the for Christ. The Pope is exactly the type entity that has been forbidden as a figurehead that stands in the place of God. When there is no knowledge of the Word, the door is open for Satan himself to lead the flock.
