And this is another reason why I homeschool. I know there are some circumstances why the police should be called or have a presence in the school, but not because a special needs child who has a meltdown. There are BETTER ways of guiding and working with a child, ANY child, rather than handcuffing and carting them off. Kissimmee police, why alienate the citizens you are supposed to protect and serve?! Maybe we should all be grateful, the child was only handcuffed and not tased. There is training for law enforcement when coming into contact with individuals with autism. EDUCATE yourselves, it doesnt take much time. The school administrators need training too. This whole situation pisses me off.
