And today, the sun came up and life goes on. While things did not turn out as we would have hoped, I can say with great pride that we ran an excellent, positive campaign and did everything possible to win this election. I want to extend a huge thank you to my remarkable team: Campaign Manager, friend, and guide Sarilee Ferguson, Communications pro Kim Patterson, who was the author and frequently the voice behind our Facebook page and KarenMatkin website, and Designer Kim Giles, the talented lady behind our ads and billboards. It has been a privilege to have these ladies, and all my friends and supporters, by my side this past year. It has been a true honor to serve the citizens of McLennan County, and my staff in the District Clerk’s office. I look forward to being a key part of this community in a different capacity and remain proud to call McLennan County my home. Thank you, all.
