Andreea shares: Hi everybody! My son who is now 10 was initially diagnosed with ADHD and autistic elements when he was 4. Later on, the doctors said it was Asperger and the last assessment showed PDD-NOS with ADHD. One of the main problems is his opposition and aggressivity, which is shown every time I try to tell or teach him something and from here, the will to get revenge and punish. His perception is mostly wrong and he blames anybody else for the consequences of his acts but himself. Hes been hiting and beating me since 3 years ago, when he was 7 and he always threatens to kill us (the first time he said he would kill us was when he was 4, he described then how he would cut me into pieces and get rid of the flash... he tried to stabb my grandmo with a screw driver, set our cat on fire, etc.) Some doctors told me that my son has no affect, so no matter what we may do, it will not take this risk away. Hes been on medication since he was 5, he had therapy also for about one year but now we cant have it as there is no therapist where we live. I was told to put him in an institution because his behavior is a danger for us, but I didnt want to do that because Im sure he will not get any help there and his life will be completly distroyed. I had him in a school for kids with special needs in Romania for one year and their conclusion was that the child was normal (even he was taking tones of pills daily), but I was the crazy one, trying to get rid of the child!! He is very smart and manages to manipulate people easily, and because he is so smart and cute, people always like him. He started to talk bad about me at school and complain about treating him very bad, but of course he doesnt say what he does to me... Recently he made an obsession for a boy in school, younger than him, that he sees as a hero, as his best friend, writes letters to him every day asking for forgiveness (even he didnt do anything to that boy), trying to make him his friend, drawing hearts and saying I love you and fighting everybody for this boy - who most of the time rejects him and turns all the kids against my son. I apologize for this long message but I really need some help and not even the doctors cant give me any hope... Did anyone of you go through something similar? What is the best thing to do in this case? I feel I am loosing my mind...
