Andrew Sales- Decided to open up the Custom Echo 1 Platinum Edition M4 that Brian from Echo 1 and Jag Precision let me put together. So far, I have put over 10,000rds through it running nothing but an 11.1v 1300mah Echo 1 lipo battery. And let me say, I am amazed at how well it is holding up. Used only Echo 1 and Modify parts and it is still working beautifully. The Modify magwell brace has kept the gearbox shell fracture-free. The gear set, bearings, piston, piston head, and motor pinion gear, so little to no sights of wear. You can see in the picture of the Modify Ultra piston that there is a small amount of wear on the pick-up tooth. Nothing major, and quite normal. Only problem I had was the cylinder head stem had bent slightly. Ive had this happen a few times in the past and it is quite rare, but it can happen. Being an aluminum cylinder head, I figured it would snap when I tried to adjust it back, and I was right. So in goes the stock cylinder head when I reassemble it. Just need to cut a new sorbo pad for it. Still shoots a strong 430fps at 25rps with the Echo 1 11.1v lipo battery. Im excited to move onto a new project soon.
