Andrew Triana was a butterball turkey when I saw him first night - TopicsExpress

Andrew Triana was a butterball turkey when I saw him first night of Ironsports practice in the fall of 2012. As my great friend Mike Holmes would say, soft as puppy shit. I have never seen any human work harder than him, stay as open minded as him, and associate himself with exactly the right people in the way that this young man did. We know that the best way to learn a new language is total immersion. Andrew taught me that this goes way beyond language. I am a total badass savage, but Andrew would chew me up and spit me out on his worst day in a contest now. He stayed in the same hotel room as me this year in Denison Texas for the national championships. He sat in the stands and watched the entirety of both days. He filmed his teammates, got them food and drinks. He supported all the competitors. He was studying the top people all the while with the perception and brilliance that only a childs open mind can do. Andrew is a brilliant young exercise science student as well. He knew that the anterior fibers of the left gluteus medius of the left side of the human body were the important internal rotation pieces for the pelvis and femur when I put him on the spot at an NSCA presentation in April when experts in the field were clueless about this fact. The whole world should know about this young man because hes going to be extremely special. Good talk. Boom. Oh yeah, and the kids got a great sense of humor...a little quirky and out there, but hey, the brilliant ones sometimes do, and his mom is a Marylou. Thats cool Mary Davidson, dont you think. Andrew tag your mom in this when you get a chance. Id rather you do than I do it. I am beyond proud to be your coach. I love you.
